    Polish Mint Creates Cylinder Coin

Of course, a coin is usually a two-sided circle of metal made in a metal or alloy. Some countries, like BANGLADESH, INDIA, JAMAICA, SRI LANKA, and SWAZILAND have coins that think outside the circle: shaped as everything from hexagons to wavy scalloped coins. The Mint of Poland, however, went a step beyond by producing a three-dimensional, cylinder coin! Of course, some circular coins can be thicker than usual. However, this coin is extra thick, making it an easily distinguishable cylinder. The coin is issued for Niue, an island in the Pacific Ocean that belongs to NEW ZEALAND. Niue's capital, on the island's western coast, is Alofi.
