Denmark 25 Ore Coin, 1972
This copper-nickel 25 Øre masterpiece from DENMARK (Danmark) is the first coin with a hole featured on the Money & Geography Blog. 1972 is the last year in which King Frederik IX's crowned monogram appeared. As you can see, this monogram mostly looks like an R with an F intertwined with it. Denmark's currency is the Danish Krone, which is subdivided into 100 Øre and has DKK as the ISO 4217 currency code. Some geographic info about Denmark can be found in this GeoFact of the Day Blog post.
