    Currency Symbols: Which are the Newest?

    These currency symbols are visible on my computer and most other people's electronic devices: ؋‏, ฿, ¢, ₡, ₵, $, ₫, €, ƒ, ₲, ₾, ₴, ₭, ₺, ₼, ₥, ₦, ₱, £, ރ ,៛ ,﷼, ₽, ₨, ௹, ₹, ৲, ৳, ૱, ₪, ₸, ₮, ₩, and ¥.* Four of these symbols are the newest additions to Unicode — the mechanism to display characters on digital devices — and in the world.
