    Lesotho Banknotes & Info

    Recently, I received two banknotes from the tiny southern Africa nation of LESOTHO. The capital of Lesotho is Maseru. The left banknote below is in the 2 Maloti denomination from the year 1981, and the other banknote is a 10 Maloti from 1990. They were bought from Allen's, Inc.

    What's on the Money?
    Both banknotes feature King Moshoeshoe II. He was the king of Lesotho from 1966 until his death thirty years later in 1996, when he died in a car accident. Both banknotes feature Lesotho's coat of arms in the center. As you can see, both banknotes are vibrantly colored.
